Flowers

Happy Rainy May Day!! I guess all those April showers did bring May flowers. My transplanted Iris in the front are blooming today!! The back had one bloom, a white Iris. In April I had many daffodils bloom, pretty yellow and green back yard. There are many planted in the front yard, but only the onions were ready, no flowers yet...

I think I will transplant my yard onions to a front flower bed, which one is the question...

Destiny

“You go nowhere by accident. Where you go God is sending you. Where you are God has placed you there. The Christ who dwells within you has something He wants to do through you. Where you are.” By Dick Holverson

Winter Storm of 2010

Wow, you wouldn't believe the ice and snow in Oklahoma!! And grey skies... It makes good black and white photos, just need to get out there and take some shots.

I really need to get a sled or two so I can take my kid sledding. We have a couple good hills around here, just haven't done it in a while. Can't seem to find a sled at the last minute,so I'll have to order one online and have it waiting for next year.

WE have been inside for 4 days today. Off work with this state of emergency. We did play with the dogs in the back yard a bit.

Snow ball fights with the dogs...

I really need to get some pics up here, so maybe that's what we will do today.

Helped my daughter get started on her book report. She keeps saying, "I have 2 months to do it, Mom." But the book was overdue Monday! She has to pay the library fine out of her own pocket this time. She still procrastinates...

I watched a lot of Americans win the grand slam finals and semis at the Australian Open ... Thank God for the Tennis Channel. Funny how American twin brothers won the doubles and the Williams sisters won the women's doubles for the US. Pretty cool, and Serena Williams won the women's championship, too. and Federer kept his title, too, for the men's final. good stuff.

thankful we didn't lose our power during this winter storm of ice and sleet and snow:)

Dominoes makes a change...

Domino's changed its pizza recipe. What do you think?? Is it better or worse?

Stir Crazy~Will a cooking B-day party work for middle-schooler?

My daughter is turning 12 and m\we found this game called Stir Crazy, a cooking party game. Do you think it will work to have 2 teams of 12 year olds, one head chef each, for an Italian theme? Or should I stray from the party game rules and let them each make their own pizza? Also, they are supposed to try a 1/2 portion of each dish and vote on the best dishes. Would you let them try a bite of each others pizza? There are 12 invitations and we think about 9 or 10 may attend.
